SAINT VENOM NAILS: NAIL CARE
*Note: At SAINT VENOM— We will know if the nails have been popped off or if they fell off naturally.
đź’Ž Gel-X Extensions Aftercare
1. First 24 Hours
Avoid long, hot showers, saunas, or swimming while the gel fully cures and bonds.
Do not pick, tap, or test the tips—let them set naturally.
Use gloves if doing dishes or cleaning.
2. Daily Care
Hydration is key: Apply cuticle oil morning and night to keep nails flexible and prevent lifting.
Moisturize hands: A good hand cream helps maintain skin and nail health.
Be mindful: Don’t use nails as tools (opening cans, scratching, peeling labels).
3. Protection
Always wear gloves when cleaning, gardening, or using harsh chemicals.
Avoid prolonged water exposure (long baths, dishwashing without gloves) as it can weaken the adhesive bond.
Never bite, bend, or pick at your nails.
DO NOT be rough with your nails.
4. Maintenance & Longevity
Gel-X lasts 2–3 weeks depending on lifestyle and nail growth (some I have done have lasted longer- but that doesn’t always mean good things. If you wait too long for a next appointment it can cause nail damage because it will be too much pressure on the tip and can cause the nail to break.)
Book new set before excessive growth causes lifting usually every 2-3 weeks.
If one nail cracks or lifts, book a repair—don’t attempt to glue it yourself call me or email me 917 999 1313 or info@saintvenom.com— please put in the subject what it is in regard to.
5. Removal
Never peel or force off Gel-X extensions—this will damage the natural nail plate.
Only have them removed professionally by a professional with a soak-off method to keep your nails healthy.
6. Healthy Habits
Stay hydrated and maintain a balanced diet—nails grow stronger from within.
Give nails a “spa day” with cuticle oil massages when possible 2 x a day.
Consider taking a short break every few months for a nourishing treatment if you wear extensions continuously.
âś… Saint Venom Pro Tip: The better you care for your Gel-X, the longer they last and the healthier your natural nails stay. Daily oil= flawless sets.
đź’… Regular & Gel Manicure
Aftercare: Keep nails clean and dry, avoid biting or picking cuticles. Use a nail brush instead of sharp objects for cleaning under nails.
Moisturizing: Daily use of cuticle oil + hand cream extends the life of the manicure and keeps nails flexible.
Maintenance: Weekly upkeep is recommended but not necessary. 2 weeks is ideal for maximum time.
Caution: Never peel off polish, as it can strip away nail layers. Always use non-acetone remover when possible.
